Adam, fellow gifted intuitive, looking for a reading. A self-described empathic spiritual being. Adam, we are all spiritual beings whether we admit it or not. The empathic part is something different. I feel an old soul in a young man's body. I also feel the male energy, tempered with empathy. Us guys are not supposed to care about feelings. We are the "strong, silent type," except some of us understand being a man is so much more than being macho. I'll go to my Gilded Tarot deck for you this evening.
I see swords all over the place. I also see very clearly new opportunity. I drew four cards for you. Two of them show you retreating, even being beaten and two which show great opportunity. Let's begin.
First card is the Four of Swords. Swords are the suit of the mind, intellect, ideas. This card shows a warrior taking a rest while the battle rages on outside. It is a familiar image. We all need to retreat, regroup, and rest. It is perfectly natural. The conflict or issue at hand will not go away.
Next card is the Ten of Swords. Ten is is the number of completion. Usually, this is a very positive card, but here it shows a warrior dead on the ground. There is a certain peace about the scene. A deer cautiously investigates the scene. You have been through a bad situation and it didn't turn out well. But it is done, resolved, over. The Four of Swords showed someone overwhelmed and needing to retreat and regroup. The Ten of Swords shows someone who has been defeated. Interesting....
But this is NOT the end. There is a hint of pink in the east, suggesting a new dawn, a new day. Defeated, yes, dead, hell no. Life goes on. The wheel of change turns and new opportunities come your way.
Next card is the Ace of Wands. Aces are gifts from the universe. This particular Ace is given by human hands. Somebody has a new opportunity for you. This Ace is the beginning of everything. It is the gift of will, inspiration, passion, and action. I hope you are aware of this wonderful opportunity. Maybe it has not materialized quite yet, but it will.
So you see the journey of these cards. We go from fighting to losing to embracing a new opportunity. I have the strongest suspicion the loss had to come before you were willing to embrace the opportunity. If you are fighting for something, you will not just chuck it all and go off in a different direction.
The last card I drew for you was The Sun, Major Arcana 19. Ah, The Sun. The sun shows you the world as it really is, clarity of vision. The moon reveals your passions and fears. The stars are your unchanging guides. The sun shows you the world in the light of day. Nothing is hidden. You work out of your head for the most part, yes? You using cold logic and hard facts. The intuitive part is fun but on the periphery. I am much the same way. I do like your energy- so male, so rational and businesslike, but there is that wild streak...
If I am even close in my read, you have suffered a loss, something you fought for but could not win. Now you are questioning. You have gained a much better understanding of the world around you. The veils and illusions and preconceptions have been burned away. Now, having learned and grown and discarding the old, new opportunity awaits.

Nevbms, looking for a read. Guarded. Hiding a lot… OK, I get it. It’s been a while since I have turned the cards for somebody. I’ll go to my Gilded deck for you.
Well, well, well…… The cards were a bit reluctant today. It happens. Still, they tell a story, paint a picture. It’s my job to put that picture into words. I see a man who has led a conventional life until a short time ago. You were married, maybe had children, and then everything fell apart. Now you are questioning everything and looking for answers in “unconventional” places. How am I doing so far?
First card is the Emperor, Major Arcana 4. It is the King, the mature male archetype. It shows you have won your kingdom and rule over it. You are motivated by love and doing what is best for everybody. Stability and a realistic functioning of everyday life is also what you desire. Sometimes shit happens which you cannot control and destroys your kingdom. Let’s move on.
Next card is the Three of Swords, the “heartbreak” card. It shows three swords piercing a heart. The meaning cannot be more clear. You, father, husband, king, have had your heart broken. You queen has left. You cannot understand how this happened or what to do. I was there once myself. I do like this image of the Three of Swords because it shows a tiny sun in the center of the heart which the swords cannot touch. It may seem like your world is nothing but pain and loss, but you are so much more than this one event. You will live on, wounded for a time, but eventually whole again. Now is the time to acknowledge the pain and loss, question everything, and just put one foot in front of the other until things get better. It’s like getting your hand chopped off in some freak accident. It hurts really badly. In time you learn to live again, find a new normal.
Next card is the Three of Cups reversed. I do like this card, and I know why it is reversed for you. It shows three maidens dancing above three cups which are pouring their contents into each other. There is another depiction I like better which shows three maidens dancing in the rain. Dancing in the rain… That’s where you should be going- finding joy in adversity. I know that’s impossible at the moment. It is something to work toward. Find joy in the little things. Plant a garden, do volunteer work. You have so much to offer. Beauty is all around, even when it’s hard to see. It’s there, waiting patiently for you to embrace it once again.
Finally, we have the Empress, Major Arcana 3, the mother archetype. I have never pulled the Mother and the Father in the same read before. I don’t quite know what to make of this card. Perhaps it is saying you must be mother and father for now. Maybe its telling you it’s time to get back to creating things again. In a sense, that’s what mothers do. They create, they nurture, they help things grow, and they live out of the heart.
This time will pass. You will be whole again. Take time to grieve right now and allow sadness, just don’t expect to stay here. You will live again, surely as Spring follows Winter. There is new life in your future, fresh joys, new reasons to laugh, more to create. Hang in there.

I get evething you are saying is mostly my past and the way I feel which is amazingly true.I heard at the end of the reading I will be whole again and in spring I should be happy.
The one thing I needed was the current status of a relationship im in and the situation that prevents that from happening at the moment,I wish I had the answer or insight for that question,but I will say you my friend are the real deal I can't say it just one time,you were 1000% percent right on in your reading,I highly recommend you to anyone that would love a reading.

Now you know part of the reason why I read for people. Funny thing is, I didn't even see you post with more detail until after I had posted the read. I was going on your private note and your picture. I get myself in the proper state of mind, meditate on the person and the question (if there is a question, yours was a general read). Then I shuffle the deck and turn the cards I only use two decks and am intimately familiar with every card in them. I look at the cards individually and then as a whole group. Each card may carry a dozen messages on its own, but together they usually paint a single picture (sometimes it does not make sense or I am way out in left field). Then I turn of my rational mind and start typing. The message comes out. I go back and edit for typos and readability. And then I post. Often times I wonder if it is all bullshit which has nothing to do with the requestor. It's the risk you take when you get specific in your read.
I see you as working through the cards one by one. You were the Emperor. Now you are the Three of Swords, enduring a broken heart. In the near future you will find beauty in the ordinary again as the emotional pain subsides. Finally, you will get back to truly living instead of simply enduring.

Sanford, do you have time and could I please have a reading? It feels like there is something coming and i'm told to wait, but like...what is the point of telling me what is coming? what am I looking for? is it my spiritual gifts that i need to focus on and that's the thing? or is it regarding a new love or new friendship? I feel like it isn't my job - I just started a new job at my company after several years and I don't plan on leaving. I guess, in summary, the question is what is coming up for me and what am I supposed to do about it? Or is it already happening and I just need to wait?

One of the quirks of being a gifted intuitive is often times you are blind to your own life energy. I once knew a woman who was quite gifted as a medium. Time and space meant nothing to her, she helped so many eole- and she was working on her 4th marriage.

Fair enough. What do I call myself? I don't give a rat's ass about labels. I am who I am, I have some gifts, and I don't care lables. If you must put a label on me, call me a gifted intuitive, but even that label is misleading because I believe intuition is an aptitude like doing math or playing music. Some of us simply have more intuition than others. I tap into your energy somehow and read tarot cards. The really gifted among us don't need props. They just go out there and find you and read you. I'm not that good.
Let's see what the cards have to say about you tonight. I was conflicted over which deck to draw from. Your skepticism drew me toward the Gilded Deck, but I'm going with Osho Zen. I think Master Osho is more relevant to you at this time.
I drew four cards and here is the picture they drew for me. First card is Slowing Down, Knight of Rainbows. Master Osho takes liberties with his knights and his kings. The Knight of Rainbows is a turtle slowly walking out of the forest into the rainbow of opportunity ahead. The turtle is a reminder that we carry our home on our back wherever we go. We are utterly self contained. I quote from the book.
"It is a time when we are ready to let go of any expectations you had about yourself or other people and to take responsiblity for any illusions you may have been carrying. There is no need to do anything but rest in the fullness of who you are right now. If desires and hopes and dreams are fading away so much the better. Their disappearance is making space for a new quality of life and an acceptance of what is."
For the next two cards we go into the Major Arcana, the first being Major Arcana Seven, Beyond Illusion. The Major Arcana are divided into three groups of seven, each group signifying a different phase of existence. Awareness is a lovely card, showing a figure burning through all the false perceptions and expectations the world puts on us. It is a one way trip. Once we become aware, we cannot go back to being unaware. From the book:
"The awareness in you is not the result of any conscious 'doing' nor do you need to struggle to make anything happen. Any sense than you have been groping in the dark is dissolving now Let yourself settle and remember that deep inside you are a witness eternally silent, unaware and unchanged. A channel is opening now from the circumference of activity to the center of witnessing. It will help you become detached and a new awareness will lift the veil from your eyes."
There are those eyes again. I can see much from just your eyes.
Next card is The Lovers, Major Arcana Six. It's no accident that the Lovers come right before Beyond Illusion in the great karmic cycle. The original card showed a maiden making a choice between suitors. It's about balanced choices. The modern interpretation is all about the manifestation of love. I quote from Master Osho himself, words that I live by.
"Sex is the seed, love is the flower, compassion is the fragrance."
The highest expression of love is compassion- truly caring about another. But I digress...
Last card is Going With the Flow, Ace of Water. Water is the suit of emotions and aces represent new opportunities. I expected to draw at least one card from the suit of Water and I was not disappointed. "The figure in this card is completely relaxed and at ease in the water, letting it hake him where it will. He has mastered the art of behind passive and receptive without being being dull or sleepy. This card indicates you can simply float now trusting that life will take you where you want to go."
Let's summarize, cut to the chase, bring it all home. What does all this flowery verbiage mean? You were in a relationship which went bad. You don't know who or what to trust. You put your faith- your heart- in one who played you somehow. Out of this mess came a new awareness. You will not be so easily fooled again. The cards suggest you won't be lonely and angry for long. You will find new love- real love- when the time is right. New love will come to you. "This card indicates you can simply float now trusting that life will take you where you want to go."

Haha, Apologies I think I am a bit too literal.
I didn't mean to try and force you into a box or anything like that (apologies again if I came across as such), I am just trying to figure out the different sort of 'types of ways' people read other people, it really is so fascinating.
Your reading was really interesting, I can certainly relate to the first paragraph considering my situation. My diagnosis has certainly forced me to abandon any dreams of the future.
I have been in a happy relationship for 11 years but have had issues before then, but don't feel lonely in that sense right now. But I may just be reading it wrong.
