Sanford"s Readings

Page 1 of 4Next

Hi. I just joined this site. I am going to take the big step of reading at local festivals for donations. Up until this point I have worked exclusively on line. Giving a real time interpretation is a bit daunting to me but it is the next logical step in my development. And I can help a whole new crowd of people.

If I need to have 25 quality posts before reading here, I apologize in advance. I'm just looking for a place to sharpen my skills right now.

Any Questions?

Sanford

Well, three months and no replies. Am I doing something wrong?

I have been reading in person. Most people are frightened at the accuracy of my readings. They never have questions. I am now making the jump to reading for money. I have stayed away from a fee for service arrangement because it changes the relationship. However, I found a really good local opportunity which I cannot pass up. Any advice or practice here would be welcome.

You seem to only still have 7 posts, quality posts can be anything from stories, experience, advice etc as well as quality replying to others. Its more an inusre that your an active member and interacting (my understanding) once you get that then sign the readers agreement and create a bio.

When i first read this post i saw a statement and no so much a bio for people to leave reading requests, that may be why also theres not any responses.

You can do a reading on me.if you are drawn to me.im open to any message or guidance i need in my life right now

Sorry Misty, I forgot about this thread for a while. I'll give you a read if you are still interested.

I forgot about this website for awhile lol. And then this is my boyfriend.

Anything we need to know about our relationship and why did I lose our baby?

I will happily volunteer for a reading sanford if you have the time. Much love, jacqueline x

So it's Michelle, not Misty. I think I'll continue to call you Misty if that's alright with you. Your pictures show me somebody who lives in the light, fun loving, no guile or dark side, even a certain innocence. At a party you would be the one to reach out to that person who appears to be alone.

Your boyfriend is more hidden, less fun, serious. He is not somebody I would want to get into a power struggle with. I would certainly lose. I'm certainly not implying he's a bad guy, just very different than you.

I don't know about losing your baby. It's a terrible thing to have happen and I cannot shed any light on your burning question of "Why?" I am sorry it happened.

I see your life is a rollercoaster right now. Your boyfriend is your rock, your safe place. Maybe he is feeling the stress (or you perceive yourself as a burden to him. You are not). Perhaps you are even questioning your identity as a woman. One of the cards I drew for you, ironically, was Success, Six of Fire. It shows a man literally on top of the world riding a tiger in a parade thrown in his honor. The message of the card is to savor these moments, but don't expect to stay there. Life is filled with peaks and valleys- neither stays with us for long.

Although your boyfriend is hidden from me (for the most part) my gut feeling is he is a good guy and you should stick with him. Don't forget he is grieving in his own way. Work on the relationship. Try to let go of things which are exhausting. I also get the feeling you are trying to live up to some external standard. Behind that funny face is a young woman struggling to made something of herself, to be somebody. The Osho zen Tarot deck is filled with wonderfully affirming cards about your value just as you are. Ya, you didn't get any of those. Even Success implies a struggle to get there. Sometimes in life you must struggle to grow and become something greater. This is not one of those times. Now is the time for you to make peace with yourself and accept yourself for who you are- just as you are.

And don't ever lose that devastating smile.

Hope this helps.

Sanford

I'd love a reading Sanford

Thank you so much, yes life has been so hard right im struggle so hard, but that made it easier to sit back and let him have his time he needed i felt like he fell out of love with me or something. I hope he really okay. Thank you ill leave a review for u soon. Thank u

I have 71 posts now, not seven. I have done a few reads along the way and welcome the opportunity to do more. I tried loading an image of my face as my avatar but it did not seem to work, so....

I'll be a sport and put up a couple images of me on this thread. I request images of those who I read for, so fair is fair. This is the physical manifestation of the one who reads for you. The second picture is of me, my older brother (if you look closely you will see our heads are the same size. My body is a lot larger than his), and my younger sister.

I will gladly volunteer for a reading !

Would you like to know something in particular or just a general read? A general read would be challenging because I know nothing about you except your screen name. But it can be a fun challenge for me.

I only have a black and white one is that OK? No problem if you can't give me any insight on my mum
I know I'll find a way in future x thanks

Oh and my name is caroline /Carrie for short

Carrie, looking for a read, not actually a read but information about her recently passed mother. I saw your pic and was drawn to read for you all the same. I see new beginnings! Imagine that. I see a whole, self-contained person ready to move on with her life. Let’s look at the cards.

First card is We are the World, Ten of Rainbows. Ten is the number of completion. This is a really nice card. It shows a ring of people holding hands and dancing literally around the world. They are dancing on the world, all the way around. You are part of this dance, this celebration if you choose to be. All are equal in the circle and all are connected. It is a celebration of humanity. There is no competition or judgement here, no trying to get ahead or put the other down, just a dance among equals. And all are equal here.

Next card is Trust, Knight of Water. Water is the suit of emotions and I’m not surprised one came up in your read. The card shows a woman free falling toward an unknown destination, just a hint of pink shows where she is going, a new beginning. She is not overly concerned about the landing. Indeed, it looks like she is having a great time during the fall. Something new awaits.

Knights are almost always shown as traditional knights- armor, large sword, riding a horse, going out to win their kingdom. Knights in this deck are completely different. We see women, barefoot, wearing dresses. They aren’t here to fight. They are venturing out of whatever castle or safe place they were in to discover their kingdom, something new. The venture forth eager to discover whatever the future has for them. A new day is dawning for you Carrie. How you face it is up to you.

Last card is Transformation, Major Arcana 13. This is an interesting card. The image on the card is worth a thousand words all by itself, but I’m not going into all of that today. The image is sitting on the void of nothingness from which everything comes. This whole notion of everything coming from nothing really gave me a hard time for a while. Then I realized it meant something different. We need to have space in or lives in order to welcome in the new. It’s like trying to bring in a new set of living room furniture without getting rid of the old first. Your living room must be clear before you can move in the new furniture.

From the book, “This is the time for a deep let go. Allow any pain, sorrow, or difficulty to just be there accepting its “facticity.” It is very much like the experience of Gautam Buddha when, after years of seeking, he finally gave up knowing there was nothing more he could do. That very night he became enlightened. Transformation comes, like death, in its own time. And like death it takes you from one dimension to another.”

Your mother is gone, Carrie. For a long time, she cast a shadow over your life. I know you regret not having a better relationship with her. There are probably a thousand things you want to tell her. Now its time to stop defining your life in terms of her. Your life has been cleared out, like a shrub pruned of dead branches. Something new awaits, something you can grasp as yourself. Lt go of the past. Get out into the world and be a part- as your authentic self.

Sandford thankyou for taking the time and effort to do my reading. I really appreciate that, I was searching for some answers I didn't even know the questions for! How strange is that? I feel peaceful today from yourself and someone else on this site giving me insight to my confusion. Feelings and spiritual feelings are very strange, actually both throw me sometimes but both have lately left me wondering why I feel both strangely.
Thanks again you sound very knowledgeable x

Thank you for the pic. It really helps. I have been meaning to get to your read, but real life has kept me tied down. It has been difficult to find the space to quiet my mind, reach out, and give you a proper read- about your abilities.

I'll try to get it done tonight and work on the others tomorrow.

Blessings on your journey.

Lightning Storm, here is your read, broken up into two posts.

Well, not at all what I expected, but now that I see your face it makes it makes perfect sense. I pictured eyes wide open, full of wonder. I pictured dark hair and more color. But your face is a reflection of the spirit world, all blues and greys, like clouds. Your interest is in the esoteric where things are not so well defined.

Today I'm going with the Osho Zen deck for you. The images are filled with color, broad strokes, a bit of the abstract. The commentary can get out there at times. Let's see what message the cards have for you this morning.

The deck did not disappoint. The overriding message is duality. You are struggling with how to deal with these intuitive abilities in a rational, materialistic world. The short answer is to embrace it all, accept all facets of your being. Be a single, unified person without inner boundaries. Let's look at the cards.

First card is Comparison, Five of Clouds. Comparison shows a bamboo tree next to an oak tree. The message is clear. The trees of the forest don't compare themselves to each other. They don't judge themselves against other trees and come up lacking. Yet we humans do it all the time. It's more than just the pursuit of material things- keeping up with the Jonses. It's thinking we should be someplace in life where we are not or just be what is expected. That's a phantom we can chase but never capture. We are who we are. Embrace it.

Next card is Integration, Major Arcana 14. From the book, “The figure that appears in the Integration card represents the mystical union, the fusion of the opposite sides. This is the time when the opposites that we have experienced in life meet up. Instead of the night fighting the day, the darkness suppressing the light, they are combined to create a unity, constantly changing from this element to another, each containing in its pure nature the seed of the opposite. Eagles and swans both symbolize soaring and august. The eagle embodies power and loneliness. While the swan embodies space and purity. It’s effortlessly floating, sinking, and then blending into the emotional elements, completely satisfied and blessed with its perfection and beauty.
We are the integration of eagles and swans: men and women, fire and water, life and death. The card “Integration” represents the essence of creation, of new life and mystical harmony; also known as the alchemy.”

If you can pull this off, you will find the integrated whole is more than the sum of its parts. The problem of course is first figuring out how to keep the parts from being in conflict. Then they can all work in their own compartments. Finally, the inner barriers come down and all the parts are truly integrated. This will take some time.

You can find images and commentary for all these cards here.

Osho Zen Tarot

(Lightning Storm, cont)

Next card is Friendliness, Two of Water. Master Osho uses two trees standing side by side to illustrate the concept of friends. They are self-contained, each rooted firmly in the ground. Only their leaves and branches mingle. They are two whole beings, not needing anybody else, but happy to have the company of the other. In their relationship, there is no urgency, no neediness, no desire to change their friend into someone else, but just being comfortable with themselves and the other. I think this card speaks to your two sides. The one side was all there was for the longest time. Now you have discovered a new dimension of your self. It is uncomfortable and exciting all the same. You can also see that in time the two sides will become like old friends, comfortable with each other. Who knows, they might become unlikely friends like the oak and the bamboo from Comparison. Perhaps the oak and the bamboo can stop comparing and start celebrating their differences. They might even become a single unit, relying on their different strengths to get through every challenge.

Finally we have Beyond Illusion, Major Arcana 20. This card comes at the end of the great karmic cycle, just before Completion. It also carries the theme of duality, between external and internal. The external distractions are represented by a butterfly flapping its wings. The figure’s eyes are turned inward, where her truths are. One of the great paradoxes of Zen is that all of reality is a dream, an illusion. The only “real” in one’s existence is what lies inside. There lie your truths, your very being. Of course, this isn’t strictly true. The outside world is not an illusion. We eat, we sleep, we talk to others, etc. I think the real meaning of the paradox is we can’t allow ourselves to be defined by externals, trapped in an existence which denies the inner being. I think the true Master recognizes the inner and outer realities and moves effortlessly between them, knowing that what’s inside is what’s really important. But I ramble on.

OK, so let’s wrap this up. I see you as a Peter Parker type who was just bitten by the radioactive spider. He is just discovering his new powers and wondering what they are and how to use them. Real life continues for him all the while. You don’t get a nifty costume like a comic book superhero. Still, it is a time of great uncertainty. You don’t have any guides or reference points. The material world tells you it’s not real. It’s your imagination. Clearly, you must learn how to use your abilities and integrate them into your life. I would start by making a spiritual space, a place set aside for meditation. Create a little ritual to get yourself in the proper state of mind. Light a candle. For now it’s best to put up a partition between ordinary and non-ordinary. It can be super distracting to have these thoughts and feelings come crashing in while you are at work or having fun with friends.

That’s my message for you today.

Blessings on your journey.
Sanford
