Posting to give others more reading practice 🙂

Hello all!
I've done a few picture reads and thought I would post a picture of myself to give others more opportunities to practice as well.

I'll take a crack at it. I also came to this site to hone my skills as well as give back to the world in general. I look at your face and I see the face of a young person, high school or even junior high. The glasses are far too old for you. It's the eyes that give you away. (Not a pick-up line, I swear. I am happily married). The eyes show a life lived, struggle, like the struggle of a seedling putting down roots and growing up. Your spirit is much like that tender seedling, vulnerable, but struggling to grow.

How am I doing so far?

I drew three cards from my Gilded Deck for you. I chuckled after seeing each one. They fit. I'll spend the most time ton the first one, Nine of Swords. From the book:

"By the light of a crescent moon, a woman sits up in bed as if awakened from a bad dream. An owl peers forward as nine swords float above her head. She crosses her arms across her chest as if to protect her heart. As evidenced by the swords, this woman is clearly troubled by some large problem, large enough to disturb her sleep. The owl, a symbol of wisdom, is nearby, apparently ready to shared its knowledge and thereby impart some comfort to the woman. As she puzzles out the problem perhaps she will see her way clear to wisdom and truth. For now, she is alone and closed off. She would do well to reach out and get the comfort and wisdom she needs. It seems that it is near at hand."

And where do we go from here? The Magician, Major Arcana 1. The Magician is the male archetype, specifically a young man. He is the master of all four elements. He is powerful. Let me share the last card before sharing my thoughts.

Last card is the Four of Swords. It shows a warrior sleeping with his sword while the battle rages on outside. He is taking a much needed break from the battle to rest and regroup.

Swords is the suit of the mind, of intellect. The Magician works mainly out of his head until he realizes there are more dimensions to life than just being the master of things. I get the distinct impression that you are in a spot and you cannot get out of it alone, much as you would like to. The Magician (and the owl) suggest you need to find a friend and ally to help. Reaching out for help can lead to disappoint- I know from personal experience. Still, it seems to be what the cards are saying. Look in places you don't expect to find help. Take a little time off, have patience with yourself. There is something to be said for making it happen. There is also something to be said for letting the wheel turn on its own and allowing it to happen.

That's what I see. We can talk more if you like.

Blessings on your journey,
Sanford

Hello, Sanford! I'm sorry it took a minute to respond.

I think the spirit struggling to grow is on point. I started my psychic/medium journey when I was 19. I practiced and even worked as a medium for 5 years. I became an atheist around 24 years old and I guess even now I still cling to that. I'll be 29 in November and I've decided to dip my toe into the spiritual waters again.

The first card is spot on. I've found myself torn between two men and it's been a decision that's hovered over my head since May. Along with the general worry of trying to figure out my life and find some direction to take it.
I'm most definitely alone and needing to find a friend network. I parted ways with my family recently and really just don't have alot of friends. Today, I discovered that my roommate is also very spiritual and does readings so I think I've found my lead as far as growing my chosen family.

The Magician is also fitting. I do believe I'm at a point in my life right now where I can very easily change my path to a positive and fulfilling one.

And again, the four of swords is 100% on point. I broke it off with both of the two men to step back and take time for MYSELF to grow and heal. Love can come later. My mental health and path are more important at this moment.

Thank you for your reading! You did excellent 🙂

Thank you for the feedback. I'm glad I got it right. It was a pleasure tapping in to your energy.

Couldn't decide between two men? So you let them both go? I think that was a very wise decision. There is an intensity with real love. There is no possibility of loving anybody else. This person is your world- for a while anyway. Then the love matures into something deeper but less intense.

You cannot fight your heart. You have an awareness of the spiritual realm which an atheist does not. I would love to have a dialogue about all things spiritual if you like. We can talk here or another platform. I was raised Lutheran and then fell in with some gifted intuitives on line during my divorce. I met my future wife on the tarot boards. She taught me how to read the cards. We went to an Episcopal Church for a while. Then, after taking a break from organized religion, we joined a small independent Catholic church. I eventually became a deacon, ordained in apostolic succession. The church fell apart after its founder died. That's what I would bring to the table as your spiritual sounding board. I don't want to characterize myself as your mentor or guide. Its your journey, your discoveries to make, your answer to find.
