Don't be put off, right now there is just no one who connect with you. It does not mean you are flawed in any way its just not the right time or set of circumstances. View the lack of connection positively as you are young and being sheilded/protected. You could speed up the process by learning to meditate maybe meet half way, who knows how far you may get.
