Lost.
Hello everyone. I am unsure of how to start this... My entire life I thought I was crazy. I would see things. So I was medicated. They didn't go away it just dulled who I was to the point I didn't care about what I was seeing. But I convinced myself they weren't real. Ever since I was small I could see.. what appeared to be a silhouette standing just behind people. This... Opaque darkness in the rough shape of a person. And I though it was a form of schizophrenia or some other disease. So I wrote it off. Recently, there has been a change. The silhouettes are not the only thing I see. I see... and I am still not sure I am not crazy... I see a man. A man shrouded in shadow and permanently out of focus. With or without my glasses on. He has a pearly white smile and a large wide brimmed hat covering the rest of his face. So I am here to see if I am crazy or if others see him too... please. Don't lie to me. Just tell me if you have. Or have dealt with anything similar. I took 2 1/2 years of mythology courses trying to figure out what it may be. Sorry for the bother

Ever heard of the 'hat-man' -- many people report seeing a tall hooded shadowy male figure, wearing a hat. Many different theories on why he appears , though it's believed he's a protector.

The "hat man" was my first thought too. My kids, husband, and myself have all seen him. My husband doesn't even believe in spirits and he saw him more than I did, though my son who was 3 at the time saw him regularly.
