How do you know you are human?
Quote from valchenolf_dantres on 5 June 2024, 17:06For almost two decades I have been writing a book. The thesis is that the main character is an alien inhabiting the body of a human - but is unaware.
I admit that it feels quite realistic for my personal struggles amongst humanity.
Have you every thought that maybe you were an alien? That your body is no more than a vessel for which you currently inhabit, but is not your own.
Acclimatising to humanity is a constant struggle, a challenge where the nature of acceptance is a struggle as humanity fails to embrace diversity. Boundaries and restrictions are dictated by societal norms. Individuality although celebrated as a strength is actually overshadowed by the pressure to conform into predefined roles and expectations. The essence of free expression is stifled. Any deviation from such norms face criticism or exclusion.
