Can't enter chat

When I try to use chat rooms it says I'm a totally different user, some 3 number user id, then wants my email address then freezes my computer

Chat and forums are seperate registrations, therefor the user name you use here doesn't exist on chat and you will need to sign up to the chat host.

But I have been in chat multiple times before under this name & then one day it's like the website just changed...
